Ukraine imposes anti-dumping duties on fittings from China and Turkey

On July 7, 2025, the Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade of Ukraine adopted a decision to apply definitive anti-dumping measures on imports of fittings for water supply and heating systems originating from the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Turkey.

The investigation was initiated based on a complaint submitted by a Ukrainian manufacturer, whose interests in the proceedings were represented by Ilyashev & Partners.

The investigation established that fittings from Turkey and China were being imported at dumping prices significantly below the normal value on the domestic markets of those countries. This unfair import caused substantial injury to the national producer, including reduced production volumes, falling sales, and worsening financial performance.

According to the Commission’s decision, the final anti-dumping duties are set as follows:

  • For Chinese producers – 166.65% of the customs value of the product;
  • For Turkish producers – 34.72%.

This case is an exceptional instance in Ukraine’s trade defense practice – the investigation was completed ahead of schedule, in just nine months, instead of the statutory twelve. This was made possible thanks to the effective work of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and a shift in the approach to handling such cases.
